Biotexnia is a self-managed space standing in Thessaloniki since 2011.
We manage our own time in a space that doesn't underlie commercial terms and opposes to the culture of profit and competitiveness.
No one involved (including guests and artists who participate in our events and activities) is getting paid or has any personal profit. The entrance is always free as we are against financial exclusion.
All decisions are made through collective procedures. At the time, three different collectives ( biotexnia , sedatephobia , hak nam ) constitute the space, with their own meetings and characteristics but all are part of a common assembly to organize current and future activities.
We stand against all kinds of racist, fascist, homophobic, sexist attitudes and drug dealing in the place.
We support self-managed attempts, collectives or initiatives for political purposes.
